When new clients retain me, one of the first things they ask is "how long will this take?" Whatever their goal is, everyone wants to know how long till they get what they want.
And many don't believe they can have a whole new life in 30 days. I admit, it used to sound crazy to me too.
When I began coach training years ago, I was told time and again it takes 12-18 months to build a practice. I believed it right up until I hired a coach who told me that was a Big Fat Lie. (Beauty to have someone uncover those, huh?)
My coach said I could build a full practice in 30 days if I wanted to. That seemed too good to be true, but in the end I did it in 90. That’s when I began to believe everything I'd heard from Abraham and Lynn Grabhorn about creating a new life in 30 days.
We often hear it takes 21 days to create a new habit. And getting a new life, or just making a major change to it, is all about creating new habits of thought.
As you start creating new thoughts, you create new vibrations, and the events of your life rearrange to match. After a month of consistently manipulating your thoughts, your world has to reflect it - that's why it's called the Law of Attraction.
So why aren't we all popping around with our dreams coming true in four weeks? Well, some of us are! But for the rest, it's because we haven't yet mastered the process of creating and holding new thoughts. The slower you are to change your way of thinking, the longer it takes your life to reflect it.
And many people, especially if they don't have a support system in place, find themselves slipping back to old thoughts after a week or two because it's too discouraging to see nothing changing. My clients prove time after time that when you commit to creating new vibrations, your life reflects it very quickly! Don't doubt the power of 30 days - you can create a whole new life in it if you dare!
